A Surprising Perk of Good Posture

Perhaps we all remember our parents or teachers reminding us to sit up straight or stand tall.  There are many good reasons to make a habit of that, including giving you more energy, better circulation, feeling more alert, keeping your joints happy because they are in good alignment, and helping you move better because your muscles are in balance.  Quite the list!

Now you can add something else.  It’s about breathing, but it’s also much, much, more than that. .

To My Loyal Readers

I now write psychological mysteries as K.A. Carter

I didn't set out to write about murder. For more than 15 years, I explored the science of wellness, human behavior, and resilience through my long-running blog and popular Psychology Today column. But as I dug deeper into why we do what we do—the fears, impulses, and contradictions we hide—another story began to take shape: one steeped in secrets, suspense, and crime.

My debut novel, Remains To Be Seen, launches a gripping series set in Colorado, where fractured families, hidden motives, and haunting landscapes collide.
